Writing The Perfect Lesbian Wedding Toast
When you start writing your lesbian wedding speech, it’s hard to know exactly where to begin.
What do you say? How do you say it? What should a lesbian wedding speech contain?
Here’s my first tip- just start! Seriously. Grab a pen and piece of paper and get going.
Don’t worry about length, language, or any other details right now. Just jot down all of your thoughts.
Think about some of the best wedding toasts for gay couples that you’ve heard at other receptions.
Don’t copy them, but make notes about what made them so epic to help inspire your own speech.
Once you have your thoughts down, put it all into a draft. Here’s some tips to keep in mind as you finalize it.
Introduce yourself
Who are you? Tell everyone who you are and what your relationship with the couple is.
Don’t focus too much on yourself, though, as this is their big day and they are the focus of the action.
If you feel comfortable enough you can also try to make a joke, but it’s important to keep it short and classy, as you’re trying to make everyone feel good, and not offend anyone.
Share some memories
As their best man or woman, you surely have some very emotional memories with them. Now is the time to share them!
Tell the guests how they met, how beautiful the proposal was or share some insights about how gentle and caring they are with each other.
If you’re giving a bride to bride speech, you can talk about how you met your special someone.
Let everybody know how powerful their love is and how they were made for each other.
Lesbian wedding speeches are truly emotional and chances of finding a love like theirs anywhere else are very slim.
Offer Some Deep Words of Wisdom
Whether you’re giving them advice on their relationship or just wishing them all the best in the world, it will be appreciated.
There are a lot of quotes you can use in order to truly express your feelings regarding their love and we have some examples here.
Darkness cannot drive out darkness: only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate: only love can do that.
Martin Luther King Jr.

Love is about finding someone who pulls you to them even when reason might tell you otherwise. Someone who pushes you out of your comfort zone, not because of them doing or saying anything, necessarily, but because they make you want to try new things. They make you want to be daring, because maybe something new and scary doesn’t feel quite as scary by their side.

It’s really not important if you are giving a bride-to-bride speech or if you are the maid of honor or best man. All that matters is that you mean everything you say and you do it with passion.
You show everyone how happy the couple is, how much they love each other and that love really is forever.
When you’re composing your wedding toast for the gay couple, keep in mind that you should cover most of the important moments of their life.
How they met, where they met, what mutual passions they share and how happy they make each other. Go ahead and create the perfect lesbian wedding toast and share the love with everybody!
