List of Alaska Wedding Packages: 7 Options
Eloping to Alaska to have a wedding is very adventurous and memorable for couples.
The astounding mountain views and spiritual atmosphere will make your wedding ceremony even more perfect.
The hardest part is choosing just the right spot, especially if you’re not from Alaska. So, we did the hard work for you. All of the locations below aren’t just stunning, but they also offer wedding packages in numerous different sizes (including small packages just right for eloping).
In Alaska, it’s not easy to find a hotel that is both affordable and close to attractions. The locals know that the best place to go is the Hotel Captain Cook.
Before I get lost on the delicacies the hotel serves, it’s good to start by mentioning that the hotel is located in the heart of downtown Anchorage. And that has a lot to do with why I choose this as my top destination.
There is so much you can do in Anchorage for fun, even on a tight budget.
Anchorage has so many beautiful things that you can enjoy for free after your wedding day. You can go for a hike on Crow pass or Mt. Baldy, go fishing at Ship Creek, or visit the Alyeska roundhouse museum.
For your wedding, Hotel captain Cook has a professional staff that will listen to your needs and customizes the occasion to your liking.
The hotel offers wedding packages customized to fit your needs. Like most venues on this list, they don’t publish their package prices.
Instead, you’ll have to contact them to discuss your event. With their range of ballrooms, they have something that’s perfect for all wedding sizes.
One of the finest locations for organizing a wedding is Alyeska Resort. The breathtaking nature surrounding the resort area will make you feel like you are in a fairy tale.
If you’re eloping because you don’t like the hustle of planning a wedding and all the aftermaths that come with it, I got you. This resort is located just 40 miles from Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport.
Alyeska Resort offers wedding packages, and they basically do everything for you. If they’re other services you need that they don’t offer, they take over and find the right people for the job.
And whether you want an outdoor or indoor wedding, they’ll find a way to give you a world-class experience. The resort has different rooms (from the Columbia Ballroom that holds 300 guests to the Hubbard that holds 10 guests) to choose from.
After the wedding, you can enjoy some of their fun activities such as skiing and hiking.
The Inn is located downtown Juneau, and it has a lot to offer. I think one thing that you never know how to go about when eloping is the officiant.
Luckily, Linda of Alaska’s Inn is a certified wedding officiant, so I guess that’s one worry less. Linda has planned several weddings, and she aims at giving you a real Alaska wedding by customizing it to your liking.
The Inn has a beautiful ambiance, and the beautiful green landscape gives an amazing backdrop for your wedding photos.
The outstanding views and beautiful surroundings will set a romantic mood for your special occasion. There have been many wedding ceremonies here, so the hosts know how to satisfy each client.
What’s even more unique, that they will offer you a real Alaskan wedding experience. You can also have a helicopter ride to the glacier or sailboat ride to admire the sunset of the Gastineau Channel.
So if you want to have an authentic Alaskan wedding, Alaskas Capital Inn Bed and Breakfast is a great choice. Just note that the reservations are done in advance, especially for summer weddings.
And as for the activities to do after the wedding in Juneau, you can’t exhaust them even if you stayed there for a month. You can go bicycle tours, kayaking, hiking, white water rafting, etc.
Situated in the Hillside area of Anchorage the Highland Glen Lodge B&B has breathtaking views of both the city and the Alaskan Mountain Range. They provide a suite room to honeymooners.
Highland Glen Lodge is a quaint, family-owned Alaska bed and breakfast located in the heart of the Kenai Peninsula. As soon as you step foot on the property, you will find yourself surrounded by incredible wildlife in a majestic setting.
This is a great wedding location if you’re looking to elope and have a beautiful romantic getaway with your partner. Some of their special touches include a box of chocolates in a room, massage, one dozen roses in a room, and some fresh flower arrangement. They can also organize spa nights for you and your loved ones.
For your private ceremony, they have a facility that can fit 8-20 people, and they can set chairs and tables for you.
Since the lodge is in Anchorage, you can enjoy hiking, birdwatching, or go to the park.
The Cape Fox Lodge is tucked in the beautiful edge of Tongass National Forest, so you can be assured of a lot of adventure.
When staying at the lounge, you can enjoy activities such as wildlife viewing, off-road adventure, scenic cruising, just to mention a few.
As far as the wedding is concerned, Cape Fox Lodge swears that when you and your partner may be glowing, their beautiful wedding venue and prowess in décor won’t go unnoticed. And for my fellow foodies, the lodge has professional chefs who will shower you with world-class cuisines.
Like any other venues on this list, Cape Fox Lodge has venues that accommodate huge weddings and intimate gatherings.
To have a unique and unforgettable wedding in Alaska, you’ll definitely want to check out (or rather, check into) Chena Hot Springs Resort. The resort was originally founded as a health spa by Doctor Edward Weston in 1917.
Originally known as the “Hotel Chena”, it has undergone numerous name changes over the years. This facility has been welcoming visitors and residents since its opening and continues to evolve with the needs of its guests.
Depending on the season of your wedding, you will have so much more to experience here. Starting from the Aurora Northern Lights and ending with baths in hot springs, you will spend a remarkable time. There are also various types of massages and beauty treatments provided at the resort, so you can get ready for your big day in style!
If you’re just exhausted, and you’re looking for a quiet place where all folks are love-driven to elope to, this is the perfect location for you.
Angels rest sits on Lowell point, and the adventure begins on your way to the bay because you can see some wildlife along the way.
And if you’re an environmentalist, you’ll be happy to know that the bay received the Green Leader Award from TripAdvisor.
The bay has elopement packages that vary based on the number of people – all packages including wedding venues,a signature wedding cake, a wedding planner, and witnesses (if you need some).
Alaska is definitely one of the most unforgettable wedding destinations, and a place where dreams really do come true.
I hope the list of Alaska wedding packages I made will be helpful for your wedding plans.
