Pride Month is the perfect time to celebrate LGBTQ families, and these beautiful pictures of two moms prove that parenting is so much more than biology. There is nothing truer in this world than a mother’s love for her child. How lucky are these kids that they get to experience a double dose of mama’s love?

7 Moments From Two Moms That Prove Parenting Is So Much More Than Biology
From touching pregnancy announcements to sweet moments with their tots, these moms prove that being an epic parent has absolutely nothing to do with genetics.
1- They are both my real moms
Parenting is so much more than biology. Biology need not be viewed as the primary source of care, love, or connection to a child. Queer families have to deal with levels of disrespect and questioning that hetero families do not. Even when there is a hetero family and one parent is not genetically (step parent) tied to the kid, those families still do not get the kinds of questions queer families get: “who is the real mom”…”so its not really your kid”. Best believe we will not be tolerating any of that in the Garrett-Walker household from family, friends, or strangers.
2- Such an adorable family
8 years together and it feels like the fun part is just getting started
3- Look at those rainbow feet
We are proud of you, us and all those who support our community. As you can see, on our profile we show the life of a normal rainbow family. We would like to have both the same rights to our daughter, not play paperwork “authorizations” or decide on treatment and receive all information about yourself
4- Proud mamas to be
The very first picture of our baby.
Baby, you are my greatest luck
5- 2 Beautiful Moms and their baby
Happy Mother’s day to all the moms. Happy Mother’s Day to my love Lily: one of the two moms of our daughter.
6- Rainbow all the way for this beautiful family
51 years ago my community started a riot to protest police brutality and discriminatory laws. Five decades later we still have yet to achieve equal rights under federal law. As we celebrate the anniversary of the Stonewall riots with Pride, we also continue the fight for equality and justice for all. We hope that Anderson’s future is a one where all are people truly equal and free.
